LOUISE CLAIRE WAGNER

LOUISE CLAIRE WAGNER  |

ENG

Born and raised in Basel, Switzerland, Louise Claire Wagner is currently based in Tōkyō, Japan.

She moved to Paris, France in 2012, where she graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences and a Master's degree in Urban Studies. It was during this time that she developed her passion for photography, leading to her first award and exhibitions.

In 2014, she visited Japan and instantly fell in love with the country. She then focused her research on Japanese city planning, which gave her the opportunity to approach the culture and society, to study its architecture, to travel between Paris and Tōkyō, and to capture new images.

Photography is for her a research in itself, a constant quest for the behind and the beyond; a combination of various elements - an interplay to the equilibrium between light and time.
